I’m Chetan Swaroop, a local mountain lover, trekking specialist, and tourism professional with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Tourism. Growing up in the mountains, I’ve developed a deep connection with the land, its people, and the rich local culture that shapes life here.
Over the years, I’ve led countless treks and 4x4 overlanding expeditions across Zanskar, Leh, and Spiti Valley, exploring rugged terrains, remote villages, and untouched landscapes. These adventures inspired me to create Karma Yatri Mudhouse — a place where travelers can experience the true essence of mountain living.
Built using traditional mud architecture and guided by eco-friendly practices, the mudhouse reflects simplicity, warmth, and sustainability. Here, guests can walk through lush apple orchards, pear trees, and organic vegetable farms, or enjoy peaceful forest walks surrounded by the sounds of nature. Evenings often end with stories shared around a bonfire under a starlit sky.
Whether I’m guiding a trek, hosting guests, or sharing local traditions, my goal is to create experiences that connect people deeply with the mountains.
